We took some family photos when Jax was around 15 months. While I LOVE the ones in the woods/grass fields… the ones that mean the most to me are the ones in our front yard, in our home, and playing with our animals. The portraits are so so beautiful, but when I look at simple photos like me taking Jax shoes off or laughing together while feeding him or playing at his water table – I feel all the feels. Those photos are the ones that will remind me in 10 years what life looked like these days. Sitting on the bottom step, taking his shoes off/putting them on, asking him to put them away, asking him to not throw his food, how he loves petting the back of Dan’s head, how he held our hand, how much he LOVED his football, and just laughing and playing outside. It’s so silly and so simple, but these little moments fill my heart.
