Julien and Sophie went to high school together in Quebec. They were friends, but like most people after high school, they simply lost touch. It wasn’t until a few years ago when fate brought them back together and turned their high school friendship into something more. Julien contacted me a few months ago to let me know about his and Sophie’s trip to Chicago from Quebec. Chicago was always a place they wanted to visit, and since Sophie had been in Africa for the past 2 months… Julien thought what better way to welcome her home that by asking her to be his wife…

Completely surprised, Sophie said yes, shed a few tears, and embraced Julien before realizing I was there snapping photos of them. After a quick moment to realize what was happening, introduce myself, and get to know a each other a bit… we shot engagement photos along the beautiful Olive Park skyline views and tree lined pathways. I love how you can see how truly happy and excited they are about the engagement. Their faces say it all…

Being from Quebec and Montreal, Julien said he also wanted a few shots in the downtown Chicago area since it was similar to that of Montreal’s….
