Caitlin and I watched the weather every half hour up until it was time for the session. What started off yet another rainy and gloomy spring day in Chicago – turned out to be one of the most beautiful nights we’ve seen yet. Just as I thought there was absolutely no way the foggy skies were going to clear up, the unpredictable Chicago weather threw me for a loop and started leaking some sun into our skyline that I love so much. When I arrived at Olive Park, Caitlin + Devan were already there soaking up the sun – having spent the day downtown with their daughter Alli.

Getting to spend some time with Caitlin + Devan before their wedding in Lake Geneva this weekend was wonderful. It gave us a chance to understand each other, know how each other operates behind/in front of the camera, and we got to have a little fun and enjoy the unexpected gorgeous Chicago evening. Caitlin + Devan, I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding in Lake Geneva this summer – until then… enjoy the rest of your Engagement and I’ll see you verrrrrrrrry soon 🙂
