I met Amy + Johnny on a perfect summer night in our hometown of Elmhurst. We had toyed with the idea of doing a city session a few weeks earlier, but the weather wouldn’t have nearly as nice and I think it was a little more meaningful to shoot in the town where their love first started 🙂 I recently photographed Johnny’s brother’s wedding at Amber Oaks Estate a few weeks prior, so it was nice to see Amy + Johnny now falling into the spotlight to celebrate their engagement.

Amy + Johnny, it was really great getting to know the both of you a little better. Engagement Sessions are always my favorite because I get to spend time with the bride and groom behind and in front of the camera before the big wedding day. It makes things so much easier come wedding day, and we definitely developed a comfort level about 10 minutes into the shoot that will easily carry over to the wedding.
