Lauren and I were in the same sorority at the University of Illinois (what up Gamma Phi Beta), so when it came time for her to choose her wedding photographer, she had seen my work through Faceook and reached out. We met at one of her and Jaden’s favorite local spots, Ugly Mug Café, and caught up on life, business, their relationship, and wedding planning. We booked and scheduled the engagement session for this past weekend… not knowing that the wind gusts were going to be up to 50mph… which made shooting along the Chicago river almost unbearable.

Lauren and Jaden wanted to capture a few iconic Chicago spots in their photos. The Chicago Theater sign, CTA trains, and the Chicago river, anything that screamed Chicago. These two were perfect compliments to each other as we roamed around the city exploring little nooks and crannies of the crazy city. I had a blast getting to know them better and I’m so excited for their wedding this summer!
