JT Photography | Tiongco Slideshow | www.www.jilltiongco.com“We have the same car,” was his pick-up line of choice. After weeks of working out at the same gym exchanging passing glances, Mike finally worked up the courage to ask Nicole if she wanted to buy his tires. Smooth.
Apparently it was. It worked like the charm you would hang from your review mirror in high school. Uninterested in purchasing Mike’s used tires, Nicole sent a 21st century love letter in the form of a text message to Mike later that night. The flirtatious message said she was hoping he was going to ask her out, not offer her his old car tires. Nicole gave Mike the little push he needed to find their love, and he hasn’t needed another push since.
Beautifully set on the 9th hole at the Lake Geneva Country Club in Lake Geneva, WI, Nicole and Mike were married on the most perfect day amidst a summer that has been full of 95+ degree temperatures and irritatingly sticky humidity. On this day though, the sun shone slightly through what seemed like strategically placed clouds in the sky, never beating down too strongly but just enough to keep the guests pleasantly warm and full of love.
Nicole and Mike’s love for each other was apparent throughout the day with their laid back demeanor and easy going approach to things. It was as if they both knew they were doing something that was meant to be. Something that was never in question. Something that was just, right. Nothing mattered except the fact that they were soon going to be Mr. and Mrs. Michael Moelmann.
Nicole and Mike, it was such a pleasure to work with you. Your kindness and love, not just for each other but for your family and friends surrounding you, made the day so special for me to photograph. Not to mention… Nicole you looked fiercely gorgeous and also have a pretty handsome husband 🙂 Special thanks to Zipporah K for being a lovely second shooter!
Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day…
I found this hidden gem of a location tucked behind the clubhouse… how gorgeous are they??
The looks they were giving each other during the ceremony said it all. LOVE!
Such great pops of color supplied by Lily Pots Flowers & Gifts
Their first dance song… Cole Porter’s “Night and Day.” Let me tell you… the epitome of class. The rest of the night’s music and MC-ing was done fantastically by Chicago Mobile DJs. Special thanks to Marcus Windsor for being so organized and keeping me in the loop all day long…. seriously, such a great time working with him! If anyone needs a DJ, I highly recommend him!
These are just a few of my sneak peeks from the day. Keep an eye out for the gallery photos (including more photos of family, bridal party, and friends) – coming soon!
Until then, here’s a teaser slideshow of the day’s events 🙂
