Jess +  Tom met at a bus stop when they were studying abroad in Florence, Italy. They had had mutual friends for a few months, but it wasn’t until this very night that they started talking and really hit it off.  Their personalities just clicked and were inseparable from that moment on. Fast forward to August of last year, and Jess + Tom found themselves back in Florence where it all started. Tom knew this is where he wanted to pop the question, but Jess unknowingly kept messing up his plans. It wasn’t until their last night there, that he found the perfect opportunity to propose on their balcony. The rest of the night was full of delicious wine, food, and funny stories of how the proposal almost happened until it finally did.

Jess and I worked together on her Chicago fashion blog, Ticket & Tag, and I’ve always loved her style – so you can imagine my excitement for her wedding day (you can see one of my favorite looks from our fashion shoots here). Most of the wedding day details were DIY done by Jess, her bridesmaids, their family/friends, and a ton of work put in by the amazing Kelly Cavanaugh of Clementine Custom Events. And let me tell you, every single one was perfect. Since Jess and I had shot together before, the wedding day was like second nature, like working with an old friend. Tom and I, on the other hand, had never worked together – but you would never be able to tell. Tom was a natural in front of the camera, and he is one of the nicest, most sincere people I have ever met. He was perfectly kind to everyone he spoke to that day, but the level of love and sincerity between Jess and him was on a completely different level. Jess, you deserve nothing less than Tom – he is wonderful. And Tom, you deserve every bit of Jess’ loving heart and free spirit. Together, you two make one of my favorite couples I’ve been blessed enough to work with, and I’m completely obsessed with your wedding day style. I wish you and your family all the best and hope we can work together again soon!
