Kelvin spotted Candace while in line for food at a mutual friend’s barbecue a few years ago. And while they thought they were in line for some chicken, they got much more. Years later, Candace relocated to Chicago and moved into Kelvin’s Hyde Park condo where they are now building their home together. I met the two of them at Promontory Point, and as we got to know each other along the shore of Lake Michigan, I photographed them just being themselves.
