Sydney + Ryan’s Wedding was one of those dream wedding days. After days of rain and clouds, it was easy to assume that the their wedding would follow suit… until it didn’t. Instead, it was nearly perfect. The dream wedding part doesn’t stop there. Knowing that the reception was going to be at the Chicago Cultural Center, I had my hopes up, way up. The CCC is one of those venues that people talk about in Chicago. One of those places that my photographer friends go and photograph just for fun on their days off – because well, it’s that beautiful. I’d photographed a lovely civil ceremony there before, but when I stepped into the ballroom and saw the gorgeous details that Sydney + Ryan had put together… my heart stopped.

Top off all that prettiness with a couple like Syd + Ryan… and you have the perfect day. The Maid of Honor, Best Man, and Father of the Bridge speeches all talked about how wonderful they are separately, and as a couple. And I think Ryan’s brother put it best when he said, “…if you don’t like Sydney, there’s something wrong with you.” Working with Sydney + Ryan was an absolute dream come true and I think the photos speak for themselves. Congratulations to the newlyweds… may you have a life filled with love, adventure, and lots and lots of laughter.
